Catch-Up Funding 2020/2021
Over the 2020-21 academic year, the school received additional funding of £80 per pupil in order to support pupils to catch up on lost learning during the covid pandemic. This was used to create two temporary HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) posts for the academic year. The class teachers identified where pupils had gaps in key skills and referred pupils to small group catch-up sessions with the HLTAs. These interventions were delivered on a rolling basis throughout the year, with the pupils and groups remaining dynamic according to need. The impact has been that pupils now no longer have significant learning gaps and are able to achieve in line with their usual expectations.
